1. Items for this part: None

Talk to Rat Burgiss and you’ll need to bring his stolen pages back. He’ll give you a folder to put the pages in. To bring back the pages, go north-west of Varrock.
Now just kill 5 Outlaws. Each time they die, they drop a page. To put the page in the folder, just use the two items with each other.

When you’ve got 5 pages and put them all in the folder, return to Rat.
2. Items for this part: Chaos Talisman or Chaos Tiara, 15 Chaos runes and a bowl. If you take the new shortcut to the Chaos Altar, you need to bring a Bronze Pickaxe with you.
He’ll give you a message that you need to give to the mage Surok Magis.
Go to the Library in Varrock’s Castle(the most northern room) and talk to Surok.

He’ll tell you about a spell that turns items into gold bars. He wants to share the gold with you, but he still needs a wand infested with the power of Chaos and a bowl.
Sakur will give you a wand. To infest it with the power of Chaos, you need to take the wand and 15 chaos runes to the Chaos Altar.
He’ll also give you a book about a other way to the Chaos Altar, which DOESN’T go through the Wilderness.
You have now 2 options to go to the Chaos Altar.
1. Go via the Wilderness and get risked of being PK-ed.
2. Go via the new shortcut, which doesn’t go through the wilderness, but you’ll need a Bronze Pickaxe.
To go via the new shortcut, go to the Saradomin statue east of Varrock.
Left-Click on the statue and you’ll mine a hole in it. Enter the hole and you’ll be in a secret passage to the Chaos Altar.

Walk till the end of the passage and go through the portal.

You'll be teleported in the maze. Simply go one floor down(the easiest way to go to the ladder that goes down is just by clicking it on the mini-map) and you’ll see the Chaos Altar. Use the wand with the altar and it’ll be infested with Chaos. To get out, you can either go through the portal behind the Chaos Altar, this will teleport you to level 9 wilderness, or you can go up the ladder you came from and go through the portal on that floor. This will teleport you to the secret passage to the Chaos Altar.
If you don’t have a bowl yet, buy one in Varrock’s general store for 5gp or craft one.
Now go back to Surok and give him the items.

Zaff says that he can counter the mind control.
He tells you that you need to weaken King Roald is much as possible, and then summon Zaff. Then Zaff will undo the mind control on the king.
Zaff gives you a Beacon Ring with an instruction booklet.
