| Items: Lit candle (can be bought in Catherby and lit with tinderbox), knife or any other weapon with slash attack, Magic or yew bow and 20 limpwurt roots. |
Skills: 42 thieving and 40 range to wear bow. Lvl 37 prayer is very recommended. |
| Monster encounters: lvl 87 fire warrior and must defend against ice spiders lvl 61 for a long period. |
To start go to Lucien in Ardougne. He is in the flying horse inn.
Lucien will ask you to retrieve a staff for him. He will also give you a pendant of Lucien which you must wear the hole quest.
For the first trip:
1. lit candle
2. knife or weapon with slash attack
3. NO ARMOR or very light armor
4. small amount of food
Now put on the pendant and go to the temple of Ikov. The temple can be found north east of Ardougne
Get down the ladder and walk west until you come to a stairs. Get down with you're lit candle and north east of the little chamber there is a web. Cut the web and grab the boots of lightness.
Go back up the stairs and walk to the northern gate. Get in while you wear the pendant and you will find yourself in the chamber of fear with big skeletons.
Run to the west where you can find a bridge. Wear the boots of lightness and check your weight! If it's below 0 you can pass if it's more than 0 drop food or armor and then walk the bridge. Now grab the lever piece.
Go back over the bridge and walk north until you come into a room with a lever and a trapdoor. Walk slowly to the lever and check it for traps and disarm the trap. Now pull the lever.
Now go all the way back to gate and go up the ladder out of the temple. Go to the nearest bank and get the stuff for the second trip.
For the second trip
1. The best armor you have (rune preferred)
2. Lots of food if you're defense lvl is low.
3. No weapon is needed but you can take it if you want.
Go back to the temple and search in the first room for a lever bracket. Use the lever piece with the lever bracket and then pull it. Now go to the southern gate and walk further.
You wil now be in a long room with ice spiders and small inlets with chest inside them. Search the chests to get ice arrows. There are 6 chest and the arrows only appears in a chest one in a time so you will be there for a long time. If you got about 30-50 arrows go back out the temple.
For the third trip:
1. the best ranging armor you have
2. food
3. ice arrows
4. Maybe a prayer pot but that's really not needed if you got a reasonable ranging lvl.
Go back in the temple and go to the northern gate. Walk more North and don't go in the room with the trap but just walk west further down the path. Go trough the door and Lesarkus the fire warrior will attack you. Range him with the ice arrows but don't take to long or he will just tell you to come with something better. If you run out of arrows just grab them from the ground again. He will use fire blast so protect from magic would be helpful.
After you killed go to a bank and get 20 limpwurt roots (and extra food) and get back again. Go through the next door and give Winelda the witch the limpwurt roots. You will now be teleported to the other side.
Now run further past all the monster and the odd wall and you will come to an end where you can pick up a shiny key. Now go to the odd wall that you just past and push it. Now go to the north west of the room and you will see the staff of Armaldyl.
Now choose if you want to help Lucien or if you want to help the guardians.
Lucien's side
Grab the staff and the guardians (or guardian) in the room will attack you. Just ignore or kill it and run back to the odd wall and push it. Now go to the ladder to the east and use the key on the door to get out.
Guardians side
Take of the pendant of Lucien and talk to the guardians about getting the staff and that you need a bath. They wil ask you to side with them. Say yes and the will give you a pendant of armaldyl. Now go back out and go to the east where there is a ladder. Go up and use the shiny key on the door to get out.
Finishing off
Go to the north off Varrock where you can find a house with Lucien inside.
Now kill or give him the staff and quest complete!
