To start the quest go talk to Maggie who is located just west of the Legends' Guild. She'll ask you to bring her broom to Hetty, Betty and Aggie to get it enchanted.
Hetty
Go to Hetty in Rimmington, she's located in a house to the southeast. Either use home teleport (Rimmington house required), amulet of glory or falador teleport to teleport to the area.
Talk to her and she'll tell you to get a newt from the basement. Go down the trapdoor south of her house.
Once you're in the basement talk to Gus and he'll tell you he made a mistake when labeling the crates. He will give you three labels, which you will have to use to correct his mistake.
You can only take one sample from a box, so take the box that is labled Newt and Toad. Label the crate with the label that matches the item you find inside.
If the crate which was labled as 'Newt and Toad' is:
-a toad than label the box labled as newt as 'Newt and Toad'.
-a newt than label the box labled as toad as 'Newt and Toad'.
The box that is left should be labled with the label you have left.
Once you've correctly labeled the boxes talk to Gus and he'll give you the newt. Return to Hetty and she'll give you the broom oinment. Use the broom oinment on the broom.
Betty
Walk northeast to Betty, who's located in the magic shop in the northwest of Port Sarim. Talk to her, she'll tell you to talk to her assistant in the basement to get her wand.
Climb down the trapdoor in the southeast corner of the shop. Talk to Lottie and ask her how to retrieve Betty's wand. You'll have to unlock Betty's chest, this can only be done by placing Betty's creatures in the correct cages.
The rules:
-You can only carry one creature at a time.
-You cannot walk into a room with a creature in it.
-Use the holding pen to put away a creature.
-Use the magic slate to keep track of the locations of the animals.
To solve the puzzle take the following steps:
1. Take the Blackbird to the holding pen.
2. Take the Rat to the Blackbird pen.
3. Take the Spider to the Spider pen.
4. Take the Lizard to the Reptile pen.
5. Take the Rat to the Rat pen.
6. Take the Blackbird to the Blackbird pen.
After you've completed the puzzle, search the chest to get Betty's wand (the chest is located near Lottie). Return to Betty and talk to her, to get the broom enchanted.
Aggie
Go to Draynor village and talk to Aggie. She's located in a house northwest of the bank. She'll need to enchant the broom in a special place. Once she asks to teleport you, accept it to be teleported to the location.
At this puzzle you'll have to sweep away lines until there are 4 triangles. There are multiple solutions, but it's best to sweep away the lines indicated on the image below. Which are the lines that go horizontal through the middle (two lines), the one on the top left and bottom right.
When you've completed the puzzle talk to Aggie to return to Draynor. Now go back to Maggie (Ardougne teleport, Fairy Ring code: BLR). Talk to her and then use the broomstick on the cauldron.
Talk to Maggie again to complete the quest.
Goulash Reward
To obtain the Goulash reward, use a bowl on Maggie's claudron and then drink the goulash.
