King Arthur will tell you that Merlin is trapped in a giant crystal and that you need to free him. He will ask you to talk to some of the members of the round table.
Go talk to sir Gawain and ask him how Merlin got trapped in the crystal. Ask him if there are ways to get into Keep Lefaye.
Now talk to sir Lancelot and ask him how to get into the stronghold.
Now go east to Catherby and go to the candle shop. North-east of the candle shop is a crate with the option hide-in.
(If you are a low lvl you can better bring some food)
Now you will see yourself in a crate. After a lot of text you will get the option to get out. Press yes. Now get inside the fort and run to the stairs. Go up and go to the next stairs. Go up and talk to Sir Mordred and he will attack you. When you almost killed him Morgan Lefaye will appear and asks if you can spare his life. Say yes and ask her how to free Merlin from the crystal.
You will need to get a black candle, Excalibur, bat bones and some magic words.
Get out the fort and kill a bat for some bat bones.
Walk to the north until you come to Catherby again. Go to the candle maker (located west of bank) and ask if he can make a black candle. He will ask for a bucket of wax. Go to the house north of the bank to get some insect repellent. Now go west of Catherby and find a place full of beehives. Use the insect repellent on a beehive and then use a bucket on the beehive to get some wax.
(Blue for candle maker. Red for beehives. Green for insect repellent)
Go to the candle maker with the wax and he will give you a black candle.
Now you need to get Excalibur. Go to the lady of the lake found south of Taverly (east of Catherby).
Talk with her and ask for the Excalibur sword. There is a test awaiting for you in Port Sarim Jewellery shop. Go to port Sarim with you’re bread and go to the Jewellery shop. Outside the shop a beggar will appear and will ask for bread. Give him the bread and he will turn into the lady of the lake. You will receive the Excalibur sword. If you lost it you can buy one from the lady of the lake for 500gp.
Go to Varock and walk to the rune shop there. A bit south of their you can find an altar. Read the altar to get the magic words.
Snarthon Candtrick Termanto
Now go back to Camelot castle and don’t get in but go to the path east of the entrance. Now follow the path to a little temple.
Drop the bat bones in the orange pentagram of the temple and a demon wills appear. Say the correct magic words (Snarthon Candtrick Termanto) and wish you can free Merlin.
Now go to the south east part of the castle and go up the ladders. Free Merlin from the Crystal with a blow from Excalibur. (Use Excalibur with crystal)
Quest complete!
