Holiday Items


Jagex introduced holiday items to Runescape in 2001 the first holiday item was the Pumpkin dropped on Halloween fast after that came the Party hats. The first holiday items where all tradeable but all the new holiday items aren't tradeable because of people getting hacked for their holiday items.

The year 2001

2001 was the first year of holiday drops on runescape. They dropped pumpkins and christmas cracker (and party hats).

Pumpkin (October 2001)



The pumpkin was the first holiday drop ever on runescape. Dropped on halloween 2001. You can eat it to heal 14 hitpoints.

Christmas Cracker (December 2001)



Dropped during Chrismas 2001. You can pull a Chrismas Cracke for a Party Hat and a random item. This is currently the most expensive item in runescape.

Party Hats





Party hats came in 6 colors: purple, yellow, red, white, green and blue party hat. You can wear this hat.

The year 2002

The second year of holiday drops came with easter eggs, halloween masks and santa hats.

Easter Egg (April 2002)



Dropped during Easter 2002. You can eat it to heal 12 hitpoints.

Halloween Mask (October 2002)



Dropped during Halloween 2002. They come in three colors blue, green and red. You can wear the Halloween mask to scare people.

Santa Hat (December 2002)



Dropped during Chrismas 2002. You can wear the Santa Hat to look just like a santa! This was the last tradeable holiday item.

The year 2003

This year the holiday items aren't tradeable anymore. This year they dropped bunny ears and scythes.

Bunny Ears (April 2003)



Dropped during Easter 2003. Bunny Ears are non tradeable so are all the holiday items after this one. If you lost yours you can get it back in the Varrock clothes store. You can wear this to look just like a bunny!

Scythes (October 2003)



Dropped during Halloween 2003. If you lost yours you can get it back in the Varrock clothes store. You can wear this to look just like the Grim Reaper!

The year 2004

After Halloween 2003 their was a long time without any holiday drops in runescape finally at Christmas 2004 came the Yo-Yo.

Yo-Yo (December 2004)



During Christmas 2004 came Santa for 2 weeks to give away Yo-Yo's to everyone asking for them. If you lost yours you can get it back at Diango. You can use it to do all kind of tricks.

The year 2005

In the year 2005 came the rubber chickens, zombie heads, scarves, woody hats and marionettes.

Rubber Chicken (April 2005)



Given away by the Easter Bunny for people helping him. If you lost yours you can get it back at Diango. Can be used to whack people.

Zombie Head (October 2005)



By insulting a Zombie south of Lumbridge during Halloween 2005. If you lost yours you can dig it back at the place where the zombies were. You can display and talk to it.

Hats and Scarfs (December 2005)






By helping Diango out in his Christmas workshop during Christmas 2005. If you lost yours you can get it back at Diango. Can be worn.

Puppets (December 2005)



Obtained when fully decorated the Christmas tree in Varrock during Christmas 2005. They come in three colors blue, green and red. When lost you can find it back at Diango's Christmas workshop entrance.

The year 2006

The started with the Easter Ring and in Halloween came the Jack o'Lantern helmet and the Halloween costume. More to come this year!

Easter Ring (April 2006)



By helping out the Easter Bunny during Easter 2006. Can be used to transform in an egg.

Jack o'Lantern helmet (October 2006)



By cutting the roots of the evil tree in Diango's Christmas workshop during Halloween 2006. Can be worn on the head.

Halloween costume (October 2006)






By destabilising ghosts in Diango's Christmas workshop during Halloween 2006. A full outfit can be worn.
