Runescape Quest Guide

Gertrude's Cat

Start:
Varrock, opposite of Juliet's House.

Required:

Items:
100gp, Raw sardine, Doogle leaf and a Bucket of milk

Skills:
Level 5 fishing is recommended

Before starting the quest;
1.Get a bucket and go east to the field with the cows at Lumbridge, over the bridge. Use the bucket with a cow to get milk.

2.Get 100gp from the bank.

3. Get Doogle leafs behind Gertrudes house

1. After doing that, start the quest by talking to Gertrude(Instructions are at the top).After talking to her, go to Varrock Marketplace and talk to either Wilough or Shilop. Ask them 'What will you make you tell me?', after which you will need to pay 100gp for the information.

2. They will tell you that Gertrude's Cat is at the Lumber Yard NorthEast of Varrock. Go South of the Lumber Yard and then jump over the broken fence. Go to the middle of the yard and then climb up the ladder.

4. Try to take the cat and it will scratch you, damaging 2 to 3 hitpoints. Use the Milk with the cat. Then use the doogle leaves with the Sardine to make Seasoned Sardine. After that, try to take the cat and it will scratch you again(Taking 2 to 3 hitpoints). Then a message saying she doesn't want to leave her kittens will appear.

5. Go down the ladder and search the crates around the ladders until you find the kittens. Go back up the ladders and use the kittens with the cat.

6. Go back and talk to Gertrude and she will give you the reward.

Reward:
A Kitten, 1 Chocolate Cake, 1 Stew and Cooking exp which depends on your level.
