Talk to Examiner and ask if she can examin you. You'll get a letter that needs to be stamped by the Curator of Varrock museum. Go to the Curator of Varrock Museum ask him to stamp it and head back to the Examiner. Give the stamped letter to the Examiner.
The answers
Move north up to the digsite. When you are at the digsite talk to the students and ask for help with the exam. They all lost their rock samples so they want you to find them.
Rock samples
First Rock Sample
To get the first rock sample you need to pickpocket a Digsite Workmen.
Note: They can hit up to 8 if you fail to pickpocket them.
You'll get loads of junk just keep the speciment brush and 2 ropes if you don't have them already.
Second Rock Sample
Go to the south-east corner of the digsite. Take a panning tray out of the tent. Go to the river and use your panning tray on the panning spot. A workmen will stop you. Ask him how you can be invited. He will ask for a cup of tea, use a cup of tea on him. Now pan the river until you get the rock sample.
Third Rock Sample
Go up the path near the tent. You will see a big blue urn. Close to the urn there will be some brushes, search them to get the third rock sample.
When you got all the rock samples return them to the student and get the answers.
The Exam
Go to the examiner and do the test.Q=Question is about.
A=Answer
Q: Earth Science
A: The study of Earth, its contents, and its history.
Q: Eligible to dig on the site
A: Anyone who has passed the appropriate exams.
Q: Health and science
A: Gloves and boots to be worn at all times, and proper tools must be used.
When you finished the first exam go back to the students for the next answers.
Q: Proper Sample Transportation
A: Samples taken in rough form, kept only in sealed containers.
Q: Find Handling
A: Finds must be handled carefully, and gloves worn.
Q: Proper Rock pick Usage
A: Always handle with care, strike the rock cleanly on its cleaving point.
When you finished the second exam go back to the student to get the next answers one of them will ask for an opal give it him/her.
Q: Sample Preparation
A: Cleaned and carried only in specimen jars.
Q: Proper Brush Use
A: Brush carefully and slowly, using short strokes.
Q: Proper Sample Handling
A: Handle very carefully, and keep away from other samples.
Extra reward
Note: You don't need to do this part.Go to the Curator in Varrock Museum and show him the certificates you can get either a Chocolate Cake or a Fruit Blast.
Explosive mixture
Now you finished the exams it's time to make an explosive mixture. To make that you need: Ammonium Nitrate, Nitroglycerin, Arcthia Root and Ground Charcoal.Ammonium Nitrate
If you don't have a Specimen brush pickpocket a workmen until you get one. Now you need to have a Specimen jar. Search the sacks in the north-east corner of the digsite. When you have the Specimen jar and the Specimen brush go search in the lvl 3 area until you find a talisman.
Go to the Archeological Expert (located in the exam center) and show him the talisman. He'll give you a scroll and that'll give you permission to use the first winch. Go to the second winch just south of the sacks where you found the Specimen jar. Use the scroll on the workman, use a rope on the winch and get down.
Talk to the workman down there and try to get the chest key. This may take some tries. Now go to the tent (located south-east corner of digsite) and open the chest. Search the chest to get an unidentified object. Now head to the Archeological Expert (located in the Exam Center) and let him identify it by using it on him.
Nitroglycerin
Now it's time to get nitroglycerin. Go back to the tent just west of it there will be some barrels with X's on them. Use your trowel on one of the barrels. Now use your vial on it and you will get an unidentified object. Go back to the Archeological Expert and let him identify it by using it on him.
Arcthia Root
Now go to the second winch (located near student 2 - center of digsite). Use your rope on it and go down. Pick up an Arcthia Root.
Ground Charcoal
If you don't have charcoal search it in Specimen Tray until you get charcoal. Use the Charcoal with the Pestle and Mortar.
Making Explosive Mixture
When you got all items it's time to make the mixture.Use the following items on the same order on the vial.
-Nitrate
-Charcoal
-Arcthia root
Now you will have an Explosive Mixture.
Note: Do not drop it can hit over 25 hp
Finishing the quest
Go down the second winch (where you found the Arthia Root) again and use the explosive mixture on the blocks. Then use your tinderbox on the blocks. You will see a cutscene and the blocks will explode. Now pick up the stone tablet in the center of the room. Now go back to the Archeological Expert to complete the quest.
