Note: You should have your Catspeak Amulet with you at all times.
Go to Burthorpe and go Northeast until you find a small house with Unferth in it. Talk to him, and tell him you’ll help find Bob (his cat who ran away).
Finding Bob
Unferth asks you to speak to Hild, in the house just east of it (map). Hild will enchant the Amulet for a price of 5 death runes for you, and explain how to use it.
Right click, Open. Some sort of compass will show up. You must click the whiskers to make it move it’s arrows; when it lights up, you’ve got it in the right direction. You have to keep moving until you find Bob.

Although it's unknown what everyone’s location is, but their is a big chance that it's at the fenced area with Deadly Red Spiders (wilderness lvl 23-26 at the steel legs spawn).
Who is Bob?
After talking to him, you’ll learn that he’s in love with another cat called Neite but she doesn't love him because he isn't important. Go to Gertrude (located in a house just west of Varrock) (map) and talk to her. She’ll mention Robert the Strong.
Go to Reldo in the Varrock Library (map). He’ll say something about Robert the Strong, and you’ll need to go back to Bob (he’s in the same place). He won’t remember Robert the Strong.
Go to Al Kharid, cross Shantay Pass, and get a carpet ride to Pollnivneach. Go to the south of Pollnivneach and take the carpet ride to Sophanem and speak with the sphinx (located at the Pyramid) (map).
The Chores
Teleport to Unferths house. Now you need to help Unferth with his chores (he’s so lazy!)
Tidy House
Right click on the bed and click clean.
Warm Human
Use logs on the fireplace and then use the tinderbox on the fireplace to light the fire.
Feed Human
Use Choclolate cake and Bucket of Milk on the table. If you need the recipe for chocolate cake search the bookcase.
Tidy Human
Use shears on Unferth. He'll become bald.
Tend Garden
Weed the garden then plant 4 potato seeds. The patch needs no compost or water. Needs to completely grow to be complete.
Finishing the Quest
When complete, speak with Unferth. He thinks he’s ill. You’ll need to go to the Varrock Apothecary (located south-west of Varrock center) (map) after your cat suggests it. When you arrive, the Apothecary says he’s not sick, just thinks he is. So you’ll need to dress as a doctor/nurse. You’ll get your choice of hat. Put it on and desert robes, and visit Unferth (nothing but the hat and robes). Convince Unferth that the water you have in the vial is a potion that will cure him. When he drinks it, he’ll feel fine.
Go find Bob, and speak to him. If he isn’t in the last place you saw him, use the Amulet to find him. You will see the cutscene for Bob and his love’s adventures! When that’s done, speak with Unferth and he’ll give you a gift left by Bob!
